Radio Communications Technician
Tridon Communications is growing, and we are seeking a Radio Communications Technician.
What You Bring:
You have good analytical, problem solving, trouble shooting and mechanical skills and have a can-do attitude, practice safety first and are not afraid of hard work. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or a degree in electronics or wireless engineering with hands on experience testing, installing, programming, and repairing wireless and electronic communication equipment and systems.
Must Haves:
- 2-year diploma in electronics engineering technology or related field/ 4-year bachelor’s degree in electronics combined with related work experience
- 2 – 5 years of direct industry work experience
- Valid Canadian Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record within the last 5 years
- Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing on a regular and frequent basis for access to site
- Be able to provide a criminal record check
Ideal Skills:
- Hands on experience working with conventional, trunking, and P25 systems in industrial environments
- Experience working with portable and mobile radio equipment with basic diagnostic and radio programming
- Experience installing radio and communications related equipment on light and heavy-duty vehicles
- Knowledge of hand and power tools, test equipment and design/fabrication techniques
